Microsoft has launched their newest product, Internet Explorer 8 beta 1. This product can be downloaded here. Even though this product provided for developers for testing program, Microsoft lets netter to download for taking part in testing their product too.
Not all series of windows can use this new product. This product is made for Microsoft Windows Vista® Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Vista, Windows XP® Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows Server® 2008 and Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). That’s mean this product is not compatible for Windows XP® Service Pack 1 (SP1) or lower version.
Microsoft said that they have made huge improvement in IE 8. It is what makes IE 8 better than the previous generations. The most important of all is IE 8 will default to being compliant with web standards after all. It’s a good new of course for web developers. So they won’t feel worry anymore about their page views.
The others new features of IE 8 are Facebook, eBay and Live Maps integrated and more supported in AJAX technology. Based on my own experience, there is nothing different in displaying page when we use IE 8 or others web browsers like Firework and Safari except some div problems like what happens with this blog when displayed in IE 8 Beta 1.

Do you ever hear that name? I’m sure, if you live in Indonesia or you have attention to this country, you’ll know that name. Yes, Enterobacter Sakazaki is a kind of bacterium that suspected live in baby milk. It’s really an irony. When people try to give good nutrition (protect) for their baby, but in fact they had give them something dangerous to eat.
As we know this bacteria is belonging to dangerous group of bacteria. As it can attack intestines and brain nerves of baby like what has been released by IPB (Institut Pertanian Bogor), one of favorite universities in Indonesia. This research started in 2003 till 2006. Based on this research from 22 samples of milk started on April till June 2006, at least 22.73 % contains these bacteria. How bad the control of our government for this issue.
BPOM as the authority department of food and medical supervising said that they won’t follow up this issue because they insist that there are not milk that infected by that bacteria right now sold in the market. So irony… It seems that they close their own eyes about how worry the people in this country hearing this issue.
As civilians we can only rely on our destiny to our selves. What we can do is giving more attention in preparing the milk before we give it to our baby. Keep the bottle clean and giving it right after we made it.

Like what the title say, all parts related to telecommunication industry have the same question, “where will you go?” This question represents the condition in telecommunication industry. Especially the strategy taken by operators in this country (Indonesia) to decrease their product’s rates. Is it good or not for customers and operators it self? You can read the review here and here

Like what i’ve written before, which you can read here about price war in telecommunication industry in Indonesia. A few days ago Indosat launched their new product’s rate (IM3). Indosat put IM3’s rate lower than what have XL done with kartu bebas. They set IM3’s rate IDR 0.01 per second. Indosat set the schema of IM3’s rate like kartu bebas, which fluctuates from minutes to minutes. XL be the first in setting low price through their product’s (kartu bebas) rate IDR 1 per second. Telkomsel already decreased their product’s rate too. simPATI has rate IDR 0.5 per second after one minute talk.
The facts that i’ve explained above describe how telecommunication operators already trapped in price war. And it seems that they can not get out from this in short time. The question is, Is it good or not? (more…)

Sekilas tentang Ayat-ayat cinta versi The Movie
Walau baru tanggal 28 Februari nanti film Ayat-ayat Cinta premiere di Surabaya, tapi mulai 2 hari yang lalu rekan-rekan di Surabaya sudah bisa mengintip film tsb. Bukan di bioskop tapi di komputer. Yup!! betul sekali, file movie nya sudah beredar luas. Tapi ini bukan hasil rekaman dari orang yang menonton dibioskop (yang biasanya dikasih bonus bayangan penonton yang lagi jalan maupun gemuruh suara penonton :p). Gak tau juga teman-teman ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember BUKAN Institut Teknologi Surabaya) dapatnya dari mana. Tapi yang jelas kualitas gambarnya sangat tidak mengecewakan alias bagus banget 
Memang susah juga kalau sebuah novel yang sangat fenomenal dibuat versi film nya. Karena eksepektasi dari penggemar (pembaca novel) terlalu tinggi. Sama hal nya dengan film Ayat-ayat cinta ini. Adanya sedikit improvisasi memang tidak masalah ditambahkan. Seperti improvisasi untuk merasionalkan kenapa Maria sampai sakit parah sebelum akhirnya meninggal. Di film ini dikisahkan dia di tabrak lari oleh orang suruhan Bahadur. (more…)

Mail from Parked.Com that brings bad news for blogger

We were notified today by Yahoo that all Yahoo based parking companies, including Parked.com, must begin enforcing the no arbitrage / no paid traffic general provision. As a reminder, Section 2 Subsection g. in the Parked.com Terms of Service states:

If your traffic originates from any sources other than type-in and search engine traffic, you will not be entitled to payment as per this Agreement. Regular checks are carried out and we reserve the right to suspend any domain from our Service at any time, on our sole discretion, if we reasonably believe that you have violated this Agreement; for example, if we suspect that the traffic on your domain is bought, generated or redirected in any way that contravenes these terms and conditions.

Accordingly, all arbitrage must stop effective 1pm PST on Thursday, February 14, 2008. Even though arbitrage will no longer be allowed, all accounts will still be paid.

Tahun baru tikus telah dimulai hari ini. Sebagian kelompok masyarakat percaya bahwa tahun baru tikus ini membawa keberuntungan atau hoki. Mengingat shio tikus merupakan shio terhebat diantara 12 shio yang ada, selain shio babi yang baru saja dilalui tentunya. Karena shio babi ini merupakan lambang dari sebuah kemakmuran.
Belum lagi tikus merupakan cerminan dari binatang yang cerdas dalam mencari makan. Dalam kehidupan nyata, orang yang bershio tikus dipercaya akan menjadi orang yang pintar. Sedangkan orang bershio babi dipercaya akan makmur dalam hidup nya.
Pada bulan depan, maret 2008 anak pertama saya akan lahir, insyaAllah. Maka otomatis menurut kepercayaan orang Tionghoa, dia akan bershio tikus. Dan semoga kelak di benar-benar menjadi anak yang pintar dan sholihah/sholeh.

Pada hari ini, 5 Februari 2008, HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam) genap berusia 61 tahun, sejak didirikan pada tahun 1947. Sebuah usia yang tidak bisa dibilang muda lagi. Namun juga tidak tepat jika dibilang tua seperti kata Akbar Tanjung. Mungkin kata yang lebih tepat untuk menggambarkan usia 61 tahun tsb adalah HMI sekarang telah memasuki fase dewasa dari sebuah organisasi.
Pada fase inilah HMI harus lebih siap dalam menghadapi tantangan dalam peran sertanya dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Sejarah bercerita, pada perayaan Dies Natalis pertama HMI di Jogjakarta tahun 1948. Panglima besar Jenderal Soedirman pernah bertutur bahwa HMI bukan semata-mata Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam tetapi Harapan Masyarakat Indonesia. Adalah baik, bagi kader HMI untuk menjadikan keyakinan Pak Dirman ini sebagai inspirasi dan motivasi dalam berkarya.

Pertunjukan Sarimin oleh SBY nya Republik Mimpi menuai protes dari Kapolwiltabes Surabaya Anang Iskandar. Anang keberatan dengan hanya ditampilkan nya sisi negatif dari aparat penegak hukum. Seperti diketahui, lakon Sarimin ini memang menelanjangi secara utuh aparat hukum.
Lakon Sarimin sendiri mengisahkan seorang tukang monyet keliling (Sarimin) yang menemukan sebuah KTP. Kamudian Sarimin menyerahkan KTP tsb kepada Polisi. Masalah mulai timbul karena ternyata KTP itu milik seorang Hakim Agung. Oleh polisi, Sarimin dipaksa mengaku kalau dia yang mencuri KTP itu bukan menemukannya sesuai kejadian sebenernya. Tentu saja Sarimin menolak. Sarimin salah karena dia benar. Itulah nilai yang ingin diangkat oleh Si Butet Yogya.
