Do you ever hear that name? I’m sure, if you live in Indonesia or you have attention to this country, you’ll know that name. Yes, Enterobacter Sakazaki is a kind of bacterium that suspected live in baby milk. It’s really an irony. When people try to give good nutrition (protect) for their baby, but in fact they had give them something dangerous to eat.

As we know this bacteria is belonging to dangerous group of bacteria. As it can attack intestines and brain nerves of baby like what has been released by IPB (Institut Pertanian Bogor), one of favorite universities in Indonesia. This research started in 2003 till 2006. Based on this research from 22 samples of milk started on April till June 2006, at least 22.73 % contains these bacteria. How bad the control of our government for this issue.

BPOM as the authority department of food and medical supervising said that they won’t follow up this issue because they insist that there are not milk that infected by that bacteria right now sold in the market. So irony… It seems that they close their own eyes about how worry the people in this country hearing this issue.

As civilians we can only rely on our destiny to our selves. What we can do is giving more attention in preparing the milk before we give it to our baby. Keep the bottle clean and giving it right after we made it.
